When I first looked at the larger image below, I thought it was a new take on pointillism. In a way, it is. Ohio artist Christian Faur creates these pictures using crayons. He starts by scanning a photograph and then pixelates the image. The crayons are then placed in a grid before they're placed into a wooden frame. Personally, I think they're very well done!
